Lake Pics
Entrance to Lake Royale which includes pictures of our POA Office(Administrative Staff for the Lake), Police Station (we
have our own police force) and front gate where we have 24 hour security guards
Family activities can include a visit to one of the many parks, picnic area's or perhaps a ride on the lake with your
boat...pictured is a free boat dock(this one located in the North Camping Section...that's right we have 2 camping sections...the
North & the South near the dam. The Starmart is the only store/gas station located at the lake on Eagle Drive in the North
Camping Section. They have a nice selection with gas as cheap as the local gas station in Bunn, NC.
Here we are in the North Camping Section....here's our campground that can be used by you or your visitors
for up to 2 weeks at about $17 per night. Each lot has water & electric and the bathhouse is located there
also. In this parking lot is the basketball court & parking for boat trailers
Here's the boat ramp in the north camping section...also note there are slots to park your boat there also...no charge
Here's a blue heron waiting in pic #1 blue heron deciding if he'll accept a boat ride pic #2 & pic #3....took too long so I'll
guess I am left to my own devices....(these pictures taken from our own lot at the lake)
How many men does it take to move a shed....yes this is the shed not an out
house and yes that is "Dale" of the thirsty cow, Steve & John....in deep thought as
to what to do!!!! Yes they did indeed get it moved after hours of torture....
Here's pictures of the pool/baby pool in the north camping section. The pool is staffed by lifeguards for added
safety. This is a very popular spot for those long, hot summer days.
Pictured here is the Lodge which includes boat docking, picnic area, public beach area and a nice large playground for little
children. In the lodge is a Lakefront Grill where your family can enjoy a bite to eat. Any large activities, dances, steak night
dining are usually held here. Books, a pool table & computers are available for use by members...
Above are pictures from the Pavilion...the second beach, small grill , minature golf, shuffle board, boat docking, volleyball &
horseshoe are.....come for the day and enjoy a picnic under cover at the pavilion...take in some sun ...enjoy a family
competition or relax and read a book or take a swim in the gently sloping lake area.
Here are 2 new pictures of the Pavilion area. You can see part of the beach where you can park your boat and
also launch it. The beach is roped off and a very gradual slope so that it makes a really nice swim area for
families. Also you will see a picture of the minature golf course take your family and have your own tournament
note playing is free ( included in your dues)
As we follow around the lake we come to the DAM on the south area of the lake. This is the entrance to the South Camping
Section. Most avid fisherman enjoy fishing here I understand the fishing is real good on this end.
Here's pictures of the DAM. This is from the top looking over here you can see a lot of people along
the banks fishing in the quiet of the late afternoon or early morning...this is the spot to enjoy a lazy
afternoon or picnic at one of the three tables set up to view the dam.
Finally as we close our tour of the lake will end in the South Camping Section....pictured here is the bathhouse, large covered
picnic area for "large" parties, family cookouts & a tennis court to exercise those extra calories off....note all bathhouses have
men & ladies rooms with 3 toilets & 3 showers....also water & a dump station....everything you would need to enjoy your
"camping experience."
